Missing chili rasboras

Over a month ago I got some chilI rasboras for my 10g. They're in there with some TinwinI Danios and some blue velvet shrimp. I originally bought 6. First day 1 died. About a month ago I accidentally killed 2. So had 3 left and my LFS hasn't gotten any in since. Been waiting for them to get in stock to bump the numbers up. About 2 weeks ago they pretty much just vanished. 1 had been missing for a while and the last 2 followed suit. They're not in my hob I checked that and it has an intake sponge. I've spent hours in front of the tank looking and absolutely nothing. Today one of them randomly showed up again when I went to feed. Complete lack of color and was pretty much see through bar the black stripe, though even that wasn't solid. He had been feeding I could see some poop, so not like they were starving. Anybody got any ideas of what's going on? It's super weird. I assumed they died and the shrimp ate the carcass or something but they're still apparently there. One of them is at least. Couldn't get a picture he vanished pretty quickly after showing up.

They may have been hiding because they didn't feel safe with only 3 of them. Hope that LFS your using gets stocked up on them soon.

I had thought that but the 3 of them always hung out with the danios no problems. Even when one vanished and there were 2 of the 3 visible. Nothing corresponds with their disappearance.

I don't know then. If they were hanging out with danios then I don't get it. What are your exact water params.

pH: 8.2
Also water is very very hard can't get a good reading on it.

 

So I did just find one dead. Likely the same one. Can post a picture if needed. I think it had a broken back. It's body was in like an S shape. From what I have no idea.

Maybe the other fish were attacking him?

 

What’s your filter? It could be he hid in the filter, when I had a Hob filter one of my danios jumped in and stayed there for three weeks. He was scrawny and colorless when he hopped back out. After that when a danio vanish(rarely) I checked the filter, and there they where, little rascals. Glad the impeller was impossible to get to from the outflow.
