Miniscule bug in aquarium???

beginning to think the cause of my female betta's dropsy is this tiny bug. because it is so small, i have no photo or very good decriptions moved in a jumpy way, very skittish and tiny. brown in colour. No idea what it is but HELP!

Hello! I’m not very knowledgeable on fish diseases or anything like that, but I may be able to answer the bug question. Was this thing like a worm? Did it to a little ‘jig’ as it moved through the water? If so it may be a detritus worm, very harmless and actually beneficial if population is kept under control.

It's a cyclops, aka a water flea. Completely harmless.

it jigged i think but no worms. there are TINY white blobs that are on my tank glass but they're not worrying me much tbh, i think they're harmless whereas idk abt the brown bug/s

I don't know what the reason for your dropsy problem, but the 2 cases of dropsy I've seen was a result of gross overfeeding.

I doubt it has anything to do with little bugs in your aquarium.
