Minibow 2.5 ok for betta?

eggnogkali

Hi, I was wondering if the Aqueon Minibow 2.5 ok for a betta (haven't bought it yet)?

MoshJosh

Not really. I mean can it be done? Yes. Have bettas lived in smaller tanks? Yes. Should it be done? No. Most people (at least on here) agree 5 gallons and up for a betta, and the bigger the better.

It could be done but if you haven’t bought it yet consider saving up a little money for at least a 5 or 5.5.

I refuse to do less than 20g myself for bettas, but that's also because i refuse to get bettas that are smaller than king or giant bettas.

Agree with BigManAquatics ,a bigger tank also allows you to add tankmates in the future, if you do want to get that tank , shrimps would be a better stocking

I have had bettas do good in a 2.5, but those bettas all did way better in a 5 ir 10 gallon tank. Way more active. Even the big finned ones.

Thanks. I'll get a 5 gallon.
