For those of you who haven't heard! I got a new tank
How big? it's a Marineland 60g cube, so the dimensions are 24" x 24" x 24"
I'll go into more information in my new YouTube video, but let's hop into it!

So some behind the scene stuff at InappropriateReefer's house. He was getting one of his huge RBTA's off his rockwork to give to me.

Because of the huge RBTA... it also prompted a bigger tank
Oh yeah, I got a job promo, so some plans have changed for now.
Had to do some musical chairs with the tanks.

Bought a second hand Trigger emerald cube sump to go with the tank... all cleaned up and ready to go!

The 60g cube set-up and put together. Ta-da!

In goes the rocks, sand, and filling the tank.

Here is the current state of the tank.
All filled up, salinity is good, parameters are up to par and tank is cycled and ready to go.

Here are some details of the tank if anyone is interested.
Tank = Marineland rimless 60g cube 24" x 24" x 24"
Sump = Trigger Emerald 24.3g cube 20" x 20" x 15"
Total water volume (after rock/sand displacement) = around 75 gallons (tank & sump)
Heaters used = 2 x 200W Cobalt Neotherm heaters
Return Pump = Danner's Supreme Aqua Mag 9.5 pump (975 gph)
- Ball valve and check valve installed
Powerhead = Vortech MP10 (switching to MP40 s0on)
Rocks = 32lbs of BRS Reef Saver rocks
Sand = 40lbs of CaribSea Fiji sand
Salt = combination of leftover salt I had (Fritz RPM and Red Sea blue bucket) along with new Instant Ocean

Coral and Fish stocking to come!
Follow me on instagram and youtube for the latest updates.
Whoot whoot... MightyNanoTank crew!

SO exciting to see a new build from you! You know it’s not official until there’s a build thread on FL

He's a reefer all over the net... IG, YT, probably twitter and more, but I'm not huge on social media. Anyhow, lighthearted, funny, informative and beautiful tanks. You might like checking him out.

@Fanatic Yeah, like Stella said, he's a Youtuber. Really cool guy and very down to earth friend.
I met him randomly in my local reef club and became friends. He's helped me out a lot with my tank and helping me grow my social media.
Here's a link to his YT channel: Inappropriate Reefer

@Lchi87 Bahaha... you know it! Gotta share with my FL fam. whoot whoot.

@stella1979 thank you for being part of the MNT Crew I'm with you... Lchi for prez!!

the tank is coming along very well. I'm actually kind of nervous because I haven't had any issues. fingers crossed!
Added a Icecap 1K gyre to the tank. I really dig the slim design of it and it's ability to push water along with being quiet.

From this side the 1k gyre is more visible.

but looking at it straight on you can barely tell it's there. I'm digging it!
By the way - the kole tang has been doing great! she's starting to warm up to me and eating when the turkey baster is around.
IMG_1917.jpg

My buddy DCReefer and I made some trades with fishes and corals... end result? here I am with a protein skimmer.
IMG_1892.jpg

Picked up some clean up crew to help eat up the left over food that the kole tang doesn't finish.

Not much to say other than it was a treat watching Nart's video this morning while I was in the "Leave me alone/I need coffee" mood. The little skunks are super cute!!!
