but I am new here and don't know if this has been asked before.

Is there any household plants that you can stick in your aquarium?

None that I know of. They will rot and die when submerged. You can go to plant geek and see some you shouldn't put in the tank and a lot of ones you can.

Some folks like to stick the roots on the tank to help soak up nitrates, but the green part of the plant is out of the water. A few of the houseplants might also be toxic to your fish if they tried to eat them.
