I have filled up my tank with an inch of Amazonia Soil and about half an inch or less of loose gravel. I plan to have a carpet of Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo on this. Kindly advise if this carpet will flourish over the gravel or is it best on the soil, for which I may need to add another 0.5 inch of Amazonia ?

And Yes I do have Strong Lighting and pressurized CO2.

    Appreciate your prompt advise.

    Cheers

Hmm I have 2 micranthemum montecarlo, and the one touching the soil directly seems to be doing better than the one less in contact with my soil..
The difference is not very large but it is noticeable.
But I use liquid c02 and fertilizers weekly.
