Memorial portrait of my betta

So earlier this week I made a post about my betta, Marbles passing away from jumping out of his tank. So to help with my grief of him I used some of my holiday money and bought some supplies to make a memorial piece of him. I have been making art as a hobby and I have drawn bettas before so I decided to paint him. This was made with a circular pine plaque, posca paint pens, microns, and a uniball white pen. I got all of these from Michaels. I think he turned out good and I’m pretty proud of this piece! Of course the colors aren’t the exact same but I tried to make them close. Anyways here it is! One is an actual picture of my betta and the other is the art piece.

 

Great job! Have you decided where you will set this up? You could place one of his decorations or toys along with it. Maybe a potted plant too.

I was thinking of putting it up on a wall near my desk in my room. Or water proofing is and using it as a grave for where we buried him outside. Although I prefer the room so I can see him all the time.
