That's really cool! How did you meet them? Just one day said, "Hey, you want to hangout?"

 

They are all local to me, we’ve met for exchanges for plants, shrimp, fish, etc

A few others we’ve come to realize we are in the same local fish clubs, etc. often the “location” posts turn up all sorts of fun

Yes, mix blood. Father was of the South west blood. Think first cousin of the Apache.

 

Fish clubs are a thing!!!!!???

There are clubs all over the US. Pretty sure there's a couple in Colorado, around Denver. Clubs used to be how hobbyists communicated with one another, but people do too much communicating online these days, and many clubs have suffered, some even died. There's actually a club for fish clubs, to help them communicate better with one another. I have three within an hour and a half of my house (used to be four), and I'm only two hours out of Chicago, which is still full of clubs.

Clubs are better than forums because you can have a face to face conversation with other people who enjoy the same thing that you do. Most clubs have monthly programs, where you get information from experts. And most have a small monthly auction, as well as big annual, or semi-annual auctions. Some even still have shows!

 

I really wish there were proper clubs here...

Every woman I meet does not care for fish... Kinda bums me out but I did see a Goregous gurl on here that has fish which I thought was pretty cool. Her name was Tris Tris . She seems pretty interesting but I thought it would be weird to strike up a convo on a fish forum.... Lol but I guess u never know. Here's a recent pic of me and my son. I'm def. Interesting thread, so I'll play. I'm a 55 yr old retired Navy Corpsmen originally born in Australia and basically lived most of my life here in the U.S. This last year I was treated for cancer and made it through that process so far, but have several years to go. Things I do like to do scuba diving (but these days there's money attached to that), fast cars, target shooting, my dog, and right now most of all the fish tanks. I think my new girlfriend may beat out the fish tanks, she's the best.

Lol, I know. It’s just my sense of humor, and how I am. I actually would like to be more open as you are, but I’m an introvert (not to be confused with shyness). It’s not that I’m a recluse, but sometimes being social is something I have to actively think about.

 

Being online should be easier for u to open up and get over that. No one really knows who u are so who cares if they don't like u lol some will some won't that's life and it's the same for everyone.

I do not believe that was with rude or malice intent but it is very kind of you to be looking out for him scarface I am also a big introvert so I know the feeling well. I am not at all shy, just have to be prepared to enter a social situation and I tend to be more reserved. Also, sometimes do prefer my own company rather than other's haha

There was no intent on being rude, Social Distortion was a popular band back in the 80's on the West Coast. It was meant as humor and nothing else.

 

I'm an introvert too. It just means that socialising makes you tired and that you find social occasions a little more "help me". People seem to make it a bigger deal than it is.

 

I don't think I'm an introvert, I just hate people.
