Meet Phlox!

Here are some photos of Phlox in his 10 gallon tank (They're a bit blurry)
Beside the tank in a couple photos you'll see the horrid little cup he lived in when I found him at Petsmart! In one photo he is looking at the cup with such disdain! He wants to kick it's butt!
The water looks cloudy because of the medication in it for his finrot. I usually keep his tank crystal clean! You can see how ragged his tail looks! His finrot was already beginning when I bought him. I noticed cottony puffs on his fringes... He's got enough tail left to swim and hopefully soon he will regrow his fringes.
His tank is sparsely decorated with a few plants now. I will be adding more plants (live) as well as a "Greek temple ruins" decoration soon. He seems happy with what's there so far. Lot's of room to swim...

 

He is beautiful! ;D I'm sure he is very happy in his 10gal tank.

I hope his finrot gets better soon.

Are you going to get a hood for the tank? I have heard of Bettas jumping out. Also they need lighting. (Fluorescent is best.)

Yes I will be getting a hood and florescent lighting. Right now I am using a piece of cardboard to cover it so he doesn't jump. It's ugly but it keeps him safe for now. I removed the cover and used a lamp over the tank to make it light enough to take photos. That's why the cover is not there. I keep him covered all the time, don't worry. He's quite the little jumper.   
His filter is being installed in two days, when his treatment is done. (as well as a big water change)
He's very active so he must be feeling better.

BTW, today when I fed him his pellets, the room was absolutely quiet. When he grabbed his pellet I actually HEARD him crunching it! I thought I was imagining it so I listened again when I dropped the second one. I heard him crunching and chewing again. How weird!  ;D

 

Even after the affects of fin rot he is still beautiful wELCOME PHLOX!!

Some of those pictures remind me so much of Noel!!! He is such a beautiful fish, you have every right to be a proud fish Mommy. We love our fish baby pictures here and yours are lovely.
