20 Gallon Tank Medicating the Ick in my tank - update part 2

So I found out my new betta has ick, and he has quite a few of them. He lives in my 20g community tank with my 4 platies and 1 zebra danio. Last night he suddenly got aggressive on all my fish and I think it is because he is irritated from the ick. It has been 1 week since he was introduced to the tank and he was peaceful up until last night. I put him on time out in a cup and left him floating in the tank. I will release him after a few hours. I'm guessing all my fish are going to get infected from ick. I don't have a quarantine tank so I want to treat my display tank. I'm thinking of using API Super Ick Cure since that's the only ick medicine at my local PetSmart. I am aware it's gonna stain my tank. My question is should I use melafix instead or use ick cure. Will the med kill my beneficial bacteria and harm my live plant (1 lucky bamboo)?
Any other things I should be aware of?

I never use medication for treating ich. Just turn the temp up 1-2 degrees each hour until the temp is 86-88. Make sure to gravel vacuum the tank 2-3 times a week to suck up the parasites after they drop off. You will need to keep the temp up for 2-3 weeks. Add an air stone as hotter water makes it harder for fish to obtain oxygen. I do it at least 5 days after the last of the ich has disappeared.
Not all bettas are good with other fish so keep an eye. He may be irritable from the ich or he may be comfortable enough that he has decided to become dominate.

But can my fish survive that hot of a water. The recommended temp for danio is below 80 and my temp is 80 rn.

I would go with Parguard if you're dead set on medication. It's more gentle and safe with Seachem prime. However, I would start with adding aeration and heat to the tank. Also, I used garlic to manage the ice outbreak in my puffer tank this summer. Garlic has Allicin, which has anti parasitic and immune system boosting properties.

Since it is for a short period of time the majority of fish are fine. I would add the air stone first. You can start to raise the temp by a couple degrees each hour and look for stress.

Alright I will do that once I get home. I already have an air stone working in my tank. Also how do I know if my danios and platies are being stressed out?

Stress is usually going pale, hiding in the tank, hanging our just below the water line... it is different for different fish.

Yeah, the para guard is what I had in mind but my lfs doesn't have that. And buying it online would take at least a week or 2 before it gets here. My only option for meds is API super ick cure

If you guys read my last post, you probably know the situation. If not let me summarize it: bought in a new betta and put him into my 20g community carefully with 2 days of acclimating in a breeder box. He seemed fine but the next week he caught ick. Don’t know how or from where but he just had it. I placed him in a separate bucket since I had no tank. I tried treating him with the salt and heat method first but didn’t works. I then tried garlic cloves but that didn’t work either. I was in panic and ordered Ick x to treat him. Yesterday morning he passed away. My question is should I treat my platies and danio with ick x since they were in the tank with my betta. There’s not really any sign of ick but can I treat the water with ick x just to be safe. Will it kill my fish if I treat them with meds even if they don’t have ick

IMO, do a 50% water change, heat the tank up to 86 degrees & keep it there for ten days.
Keep watch on the surviving tankmates. Chances are things will be fine, but if Ich symptoms appear don't hesitate to medicate.

Unfourtanetly I don't. But here are some observations I made during his treatment.
1. The white spot started off on his tail and then it went onto his head and face
2. There was a time when there were no white spots on his body except his face but the next day it was all over his body
3. He constantly did this flashing thing against the walls (Looked like he was trying to scratch himself I think)

I hope this helps

Thank you, I will definitely do that!
One question tho... If I treat ich x even if they don't show signs of ick, will it kill my fish or like poison them?
