I leave my canisters on during water changes. The Fluval intakes on my 206 and 405 were long enough to go below the 50% water change line, so there's no issue with that. Hopefully you can fix it so you can do the same.

That is why I have more than one filter installed. Always.

Hello

If your filter is not damaged you have an air lock in the propeller chamber.
Try this empty the filter by 1/3 to one half tilt the filter from side to side to excavat the air in the propeller chamber, then being careful not to make a mess, turn it on or plug it in, to see if this rectifies the problem.
If not check the propeller it's self to make sure the plastic housing that holds the propeller to the magnet has not broken off. If it is seperated,
Take the propeller and dry it with a cloth gentle and super glue it back together.
