Maybe shrimp?

Hi! So I definitely didn't buy any shrimp for my tank lol, but a few months ago I decided to get live plants for my tank which brought a HUGE infestation of snails which I've learned to control since then. However...I've occasionally seen these TINY little shrimp looking guys swimming around. They aren't bigger than 5 or 6mm and kinda look like a mini ghost shrimp. Does anyone have any idea what they could be? And could they have been brought in with the plants? My LFS doesn't sell shrimp so I find it super strange. Will see if I can attach a video/photo

Edit: for reference, the image is them eating a 4mm shrimp pellet so they're VERY tiny

Do you have any pictures you can share?

Look like shrimp to me. May have been some eggs that hitched a ride on the plants and they've just been undetected until they grew to this size.

I've been seeing them for a few months but they've never grown any bigger than this. I don't mind them in there at all, I'm just curious as to what kind they are. I haven't found any info on such small ones

Hi Brrrittch

I had a search on this site for a picture as good as what you have of scuds . I was not successful in finding a good picture but do know what you have there. A common trout food the scud comes in many sizes .
Some species will eat live plants when hungry I believe?

Sorry Brrrittch this is the best link I could find.

I guess you can double check by googling a picture of scuds mate.
