May Have Accidentally Infected A Healthy Tank

I was doing my water changes today, including one that I just found out is infected with columnaris,
And without thinking. Used the same siphon in another tank, of which the inhabitant is new and still settling in. Am I gonna be okay? Or do I need to act fast and start treatment before anything happens?

I would start treatment. If I remember correctly that is how a member here contaminated her tanks.

I wouldn't start treatment without any sign.

So there's a chance I didn't infect the tank?

Ohh there certainly is.
Bacteria are everywhere. If fish are healthy they probably will be resistant.
Messing up the beneficial bacteria by treating unneeded is a greater risk to me.

I agree with that, though, the fish was just added to his tank a few days ago and is still adjusting (dwarf gourami, sensitive little guys)

I know but precaution-wise treatment is useless to me.

Alright, if he starts showing symptoms I'll start some minor treatment, maybe some destresser to help too, considering it thrives on stressed fish
