I adopted a gold ram on may 22. Was so pale, and underfed. Today I was just adoring his beauty as his blues are starting to pop. He knows I saved him and comes up to tank when ever I'm around to say hi.

Also I knows rams dont live long and i dont particularly want rams, although I love him. is he ok alone the rest of his life or should i get him 2 girls?

He also guards the 4in microbubbler. Lol

Here is before and after

You really nursed him back to health! I see a lot of people recommend keeping a pair but I do see others keeping a single fish.

Regardless of what you decide no one can tell you that you didn’t put the fish into a better situation. The pictures are proof.

Good job on turning his fortunes around! They do okay alone. I sometimes go that route just because pairs lead to fry, and I can't help but try help them survive :/ I've found my current 'solo' ram has become extremely interactive, focussing his attention on me and his tank surroundings a lot more.
