Marineland 350 filter problem

Michele Manion

Would appreciate some advise. I have a 50 gal tank with 3 goldfish and 1 pleco. Have been using 2 - Marineland 330 filters. One stopped working and was replaced with a Marineland 350. The 330 had 2 baskets (cartridges) - 1 holding charcoal and 1 holding API Nitro Zorb pouch.
I ordered 2 cartridges but the Nitro Zorb pouch will not fit in it. I tried using the old cartridge that came with the 330 but it sinks to the bottom of the filter because there isn't a stop to hold it up.
Called Marineland and that is the only cartridge that they sell for the 350. The only thing I can think of is to try to find a way to attach something to the 330 basket to keep it from touching the bottom of the 350.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.

I would think you can drop the nitro-zorb pouch into the reservoir in front of the back cartridge.

Are you talking about the cartridge that opens up and you can put your own media inside, or the one that has the blue felt looking material wrapped around it ?
