Hello everyone,
I am new and I bought a 29 gallon starter tank 2 weeks ago. I'm in the process of cycling, and I finally got my ammonia level up to 3 ppm a week ago, so I'm waiting on the nitrites to come in.
I was at the store looking at plants for my aquarium and asked the girl if it's wise to put in a live plant now (I have plastic ones now) when my aquarium is not finished it's cycle yet. She suggested the moss ball plant so I bought one.
I didn't put it in yet, because I wanted to research the plant. I found that it helps with getting rid of the nitrates.
Since it helps rid of nitrates, is it wise to put it in my aquarium now since I am trying to build nitrates to eat up the ammonia that is in the tank?
Any thoughts or comments welcomed..thank you in advance.
