hey all!

:-\ hope nobody's too harsh on this site.
i'm just startin out and to make things worse, everyone who posts on here seem to have like a million gal tanks while I only have a 2.5 right now. hoping get at least a 20 gal by the next month or two. well, wish me luck!

Its not the size of the tank its the motion in the erm.... tank.
maybe I shouldnt have posted! lol.

I think a lot of people tend to go for bigger tanks as they are that much more stable?

Welcome to FishLore! It's great to have you with us! Please click on the link in my signature "FishLore Articles for Beginners" to help get you started. Bigger tanks are easier to maintain. Cycling and maintaining a 2.5 gal. is quite a challenge because you are so limited on what you have to work with. The bigger the tank, the more water you have to keep everything stablized. Small tanks can go downhill quickly, and you usually have less time to know something is wrong before you can do anything about it. Getting a much larger tank is a great idea. A 20 gal. long is a really great size tank to have!

Welcome to the tank. Just cause mine is bigger doesn't mean I any more. I'm also new to this ;D

hI guys! aww I didnt even wanna make an account and tell everyone how small my tank is but that's what I was given for christmas? and so I'm startin out with that. soo new at this but I think I'm gettin the hang of it. i've already read the articles for beginners I think... I still feel like I'm a bit clueless at times but *sigh* I think I'm doin pretty ok with my dinky lil thing. I'll definitely post questions up as I go along just to make sure that i'm doing ok?

thanks for responding and for being nice with honest criticism. =] I believe this site will help me a whole lot!

ohh and I almost forgot I did post some questions on the molly forum. check it out and let me know what you guys think? PLEASE?! =]

Smaller tanks can also be quite awesome with the a little bit of planning and extra care. It sounds like you are already getting hooked on the hobby! We call that illness MTS (multiple tank syndrome). Don't even think we are gonna try and cure you! ;D

Me and my partner have mts!
intention> first small tank. Result Juwel 180 litre.
Intention> cheap quarantine tank. Result 4ft tank and a 5 gallon quarantine tank

so far no good! hoping to keep up the good work!
