Is this wierd? I know they are doing a spawning thing when their noses turn bright yellow (Awesome to see, btw). But, in just the last two days, only my males have gotten very dark. My parameters are perfect. 0/0/5. Finally got a canister. And, added some nitro-sorb to decrease nitrates. My fish seem happier than ever. Any feedback from rainbow owners out there? Thanks!

All of my Rainbows are male. so I have no experience with this, but I would assume they just darkened up because they are in mating mode.

Do yours every get bright yellow noses? And, yours have never darkened up like this?

Their noses will get a little yellow at times, but not bright yellow. Mine will lighten and darken but my turquoise have never gotten that dark. But I would suspect that is due to their being no females in the tank.

Has to be behavior of some sort then?
Yeah, that's kind of what I figured. I was hoping other turquoise rainbow owners would see this, and have some insight. Please tag anyone that you all know might be an owner. Turquoise rainbow or otherwise. Thank you
