Hello, I am fairly new from fish keeping and I need some clarification.
I have a 20 gal that is doing fine but I have a betta in a 3.5 filtered but not heated tank. The betta in there isn’t eating and constantly paces the back wall although there’s plants.

I also have a divided 10 gallon heated and filtered tank with a female betta on each side. One female is doing okay but the other one isn’t swimming and stays in the top corner.
I have heard lots of things from everybody and I just need clarification on what to do thanks

The 3.5 probably needs to be heated Bettas like it around 80 degrees. The divided 10 is there a sufficient flow with the divider? be sure the water temp feels the same on both sides. Also check the water parameters to be sure the tanks are cycled. Good Luck!!

I wouldn't even divide a tank, in my opinion. I found it better for my bettas to have their own separate tanks, with five gals being the minimum for each fish. Always keep their tanks heated at 80°F.
