I have a 55 gallon heavily planted tank and I have 3 angels 4 gouramis 2 gbr 2 loaches and 3 Corys and a red tail shark and a couple zebra danios I know it's a little over stocked but I have a lot and very good filtration but I was thinking about adding a male betta...would this work out? What are your experiences

It really depends on the individual agression level of the fish. It works for some and doesn't work for others. With your red tailed shark and gbrs it may be too much aggression

Its not really over stock, its more of the fact that you have stocking problems

What type of cory? What type of loach? What type of gourami?

Either way, the answer is no. The fish you have will most likely pic on the betta

There is such a huge chance that it wont work out so i wouldnt even bother trying it out
