Hello all,
I currently have a male betta fish in a 6 gal cube and to test his compatibility with other creatures I added 3 ghost shrimp the other day... unfortunately he did not let them live.
This doesn't bode well for what I had been hoping to do with him, which was to move him into a ten gal long tank with 7 ember tetras. But maybe he could have a different response to fish than he did with shrimp?
I know it basically comes down to individual temperament; but does anyone here have experience with betta fish having different responses to shrimp as they do with other fish? Does his response to shrimp mean that he needs his own space completely, or that he just doesn't like shrimp?
Other notes are that he didn't eat the shrimp and he didn't flare at them either. He was just very curious when I introduced them and when I awoke the next day he had killed two.
Thanks!
