I have had one male an done female German Blue Rams for about a month. Ever since I got them they have gotten along and followed each other around the tank non aggressively except for the occasional bumping. Today I changed the water in the tank and added some new plants and trimmed some of my elodea that was already in the tank and ever since I did that the male has gotten extremely aggressive towards the female and chasing her around the tank and they have been going in circles around each other and lip locking. Please help i'm worried about my girl. (I know she is a female because she has a bright pink belly and I have compared all of her other features to all of the online methods of sexing).

Water
ammonia: 0ppm
nitrites: 0ppm
nitrates: 5ppm
temperature: 82 degrees

Sounds like he wants to breed or they did and he wants her away from the eggs ..
In most cases they settle but if not you may need to separate them ..
Watch closely ..

that makes sense because he mainly does it when she goes to a certain area of the tank but I don,t see any eggs or anything there

They are hard to see but I suspect they are on wood ,stone or in a sand pit..
A flashlight might help you see them .. It does sound like they spawned ..
