Make Things Easier For Fancy Goldfish With Defect

I've had a baby oranda fancy goldfish for about six months now. About two months ago he started swimming heavily towards one side. After trying to treat the poor guy for what I thought had been just constipation - I noticed a slight, barely there, curve towards the bottom of his spine. I continued to treat his constipation and he started eating and pooping just fine again with his new varied diet. However, he still swam heavily towards one side. He has two other tank mates, orandas, that have grown exponentially while he is obviously stunted. I've chalked it up to a birth defect, (his curved spine), as he still eats and poops and can get where he wants to just fine as long as he takes some little breaks between swimming. But this morning I woke up to him laying completely on his side at the bottom of the tank. I see him trying to get up but he can't. The most he can do is flip himself upside down and then he's stuck there until falling back on his side. His breathing is slow. I don't know what to do. Are there any suggestions as to what I can do to make this poor guy more comfortable? It is a 45 gallon tank with two other orandas, which haven't shown any of the same problems. My water parameters: and are 0, 10 and 6.9. (*** Maybe an important note, he is the only one of my three orandas that I bought from petsmart. He was Petsmart's only oranda and he had ich. He was quarantined and treated***)

Picture? Have you ever heard of TB? In fish? Wait has the spine been bent since you got the little one?

I have but I'm pretty certain it is not TB. He shows no other symptoms than his spine. His spine has been slightly bent since I have had him, (I went back and looked at some videos of him when I first got him), and he was very small for his age then too.

I will try to right now. But like I mentioned, the curve in his spine is so subtle it is very hard to get a pic without him being at the perfect angle.

This is the best I could do without scarring the poor thing haha. But see how subtle the curve is? It almost looks like he's just turned.

Sorry it took a while for me to respond. It dosen't look like any sickness. How long ago did it start? (bent spine)
You need to get some methylene blue, enough API General Cure to dose the tank every other day for 2wks and a bottle of Prime. Also switching to sinking pellets and start adding daily veggies Will help. I cannot and will not guarantee that it will "cure" him or make his life happy but its worth a try. You will also need a QT tank for him. I think a 10 gallon for now would be best so that he can't swim to much. this might be a bad defect and unable to fix it. You may have to humanly euthanize him if he has no quality of life. sorry. hoping that he can make it though this! Let me know when you have everything and I can give you instructions

Also get some aquarium salt

If you can, get a smaller tank. Make sure it is long and wide.
Keep the water level shallow too. This way, the goldfish will have less competition for feeding and there will be less pressure on the spine which should speaker the bending better.

Okay so your going to dose the medication accordingly for two weeks. Use the general cure every other day though.
He will be going into a 10 gallon tank right?
Use the aquarium salt to soak him in a small Tupperware ( I think that will work) container for 5-10 minutes. Like I said feed him sinking pellets and veggies every day. Keep the water level down like only fill up half the tank so there is not pressure on his spine.
