Trying to figure if this is a male or female as I may want to get another at some point.
Can you get a side photo? I can see the breeding tube though and since it's so far down I believe it's a female.
The tube is very thin and pointed, and what I can see of the fish suggests male, not female. Get him in a good broadside shot, preferably with the dorsal fin up.
How's this one?
Confusing. No dorsal spikes, deep body shape, those suggest female. No red on stomach, small pointy tube, rounded forehead, those suggest male.
I'd say you have a Ram. If it's small, could be a young male, if not, perhaps an aberrant male or female. I'm still leaning male, but just barely.
