M and D's Big Adventure!

So mmolitor87 and I got together this morning at the Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies!

M was in state for a wedding ( not his!) and we had worked out getting together and going to the aquarium while he was in state.

Note- I am the biped on the left. Don't get us confused.

Here are a few of the fish and other creatures we saw.

Archer fish

Even though the nose is in the wrong direction, this guy reminded me of Squidward!

They have a very nice set up with a dozen or so archer fish and these guys..

Muddskippers

The last freshwater tank in that section had anableps ( 4 eyed fish) so called because they have an hour glass shaped iris.

That's it for now, I will add more photos as I get time.

One of the Moray tanks.

Part, yes, just part, of the filtration system for the marine part of the set up.

Description of what said part does.

Garden eels! So cool!

Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but I believe this is a young Picaso trigger.

Look at those chompers!

More pics soon!

"hi, I'm Sharon and I'm a mermaid at the local aquarium ...hey, where are you going? Stop! Really, I am a mermaid! ...oh, not again. I'm going to have to start lying and say I'm a hairdresser or something "

LOL. well, it's no worse than "Hi, my name is Dino and I am actually Santa."

That is true. Do you find job applications are tricky?
Previous experience: um... Santa. Santa Claus.
References? Well, there's little Billy Smith at no. 43 and his sister, Janie...

Btw, those little garden eel things are awesome. The way they poke up out of the sand is brilliant!

Na, I have all the best references, the Easter Bunny, Shirley ( the Tooth Fairy) and of course, Butterfly!

As for experience, 55,968 years of monkey herding has covered just about everything.
