There’s a castle with blunted points in here and a few guppies, but nothing otherwise I can think of

So there are 2 possibilities: 1) It could be an abscess due to him swimming and caught in something sharp 2) Ulcer or 3) It could be a cancerous tumor (highly unlikely).

So a betta abscess can be treated. Remove him from the main tank and place him alone in a quarantine tank. We do this so that if there is any sort of bad bacteria in the main tank will not enter the abscess and infect it more and make it bigger and bigger until its an open wound. I would personally add a cave or some kind of place to hide, cause if there is no place to hide he could really freak out and be stressed as ****. If you have soft silk plants that's awesome since live plants could have some form of bacteria. Since the abscess is not to big he can survive but please keep in a nice fresh quarantine tank.

An Ulcer is sore looking and has reddened areas around the lump. He could have an ulcer if he is super lethargic and not eating food at all. Fish Ulcers are caused by bacterial infections. You have to again make a quarantine tank and do everything as mentioned above. Even if the ulcer clears up, fungal infections frequently follow. So, it’s vital that you carry out frequent water changes for two to three weeks following the successful treatment of the ulcers. After the first water change, add salt to the tank water at one-quarter of an ounce per gallon. That should encourage wound healing by reducing the osmotic effect of water entering the ulcer and also having a mild disinfectant action. Maintain the salt content of the water after each water change by adding 30% of the quantity of salt you originally added. You can monitor the salt levels in the water by using a hydrometer. You should also add an aquarium antibacterial product to the water.
