luck with online ordering inverts

Who has had good or bad experience with ordering inverts on line? If I want any fun shrimp I'm going to have to order...the LFS here only have clear or red options most being caridinas....I want blue neos to start...I think I'm leaning towards the blueberrys at this point. Really don't want a box of dead shrimp. The web sites all claim great success with next shipping....any particular sites to look for or avoid?

I got my shrimp from ZeeZ right here on Fishlore. Arrived with every snail and shrimp alive on one of the hottest days we had here this summer. I made sure I was home to scoop up the box the moment the mailman delivered it though.

I would look at Most of the sellers guarantee live delivery for next day and priority shipping, some even for regular post if you don't live to far. Most will either refund for loss or send more shrimp if any are dead on arrival. You just have to read what they are sending and their polices

ah I was ninjaed

The quality of goodies avail between members is one of the reasons I chose this forum....I haven't seen anyone offering blue shrimp here tho....several with RCS.....if any members have blue dwarf neos id rather get them here....but it sounded like I wasn't the only one searching out fun blues.

I know that so many people have had good experiences with liveaquaria but I recently had a bad experience with them. I placed a large order where several items were back ordered (totally reasonable) and I was told that they would be shipped out at some point in the next 2 weeks if they were back in stock. They requested I tell them days that they should not ship so I explained that I was out of town last Friday. Somehow they forgot to make a note of that and mailed my Amano shrimp out anyway. No one was home to receive them so they ended up sitting out on the porch in the middle of summer I've definitely had better and more responsible service from people on aquabid.com.

Give me a couple months and I will have blue neos

I've ordered a colony of yellow shrimps from a member on this forum (Daac) and other shrimps from Aquabid, Ebay, and Shrimp specific websites without any casualties. I would also suggest you do your research on your part about the weather in your local area, if you are going through a heat wave then I would put off ordering until you have milder climates that is conducive to the invertebrates you want.

Most shippers have DOA guarantee also.

Well the timing just might work out on that....I'm def going to wait till too hot is not the shipping issue. Seems easier to keep an invert warm for travel than cool enough
