Low TDS container pond?

Joshaeus

Hi everyone! Here's an interesting thought...when I get and start breeding whatever fish I am going to keep in my 20 gallon blackwater tank, I am thinking of growing out some of the fry in a heated container pond next year. Would that work well? I wanted to keep TDS at or below 100ppm...since fertilizers would increase the TDS I would likely avoid using a water lily and use something with less exacting fertilizer needs (perhaps a water snowflake or water clover) as the display plant (and use a mixture of peat moss and sand in place of conventional soil). Thanks :)

Could work in principle, you would have to look into the exact details, when going into planning.
