I just changed my betta because I’m treating him for fin Rot. I did a 100% change and maybe 3 h later I did a test and saw his KH and PH are low. PH 6.0 ( normally 6.5) and KH 40. I got nervous cause he was swimming and flaring and the all the sudden is on the bottom laying down. He’s exploring and swimming right now. ( maybe I’m over reacting....) I also just fed him and he about jumped out to get it. Some one tell me I’m being to protective.

That would mean the tap water has a lower PH than the tank most likely. Can you do a PH test on your tap water to make sure?

It could still be the same problem, can you test that water’s PH? Only other thing is that something in the tank has water softening properties that you didn’t notice.
