So as I said in an earlier post (I thingk) I got a few more plants that makes up 3 times the volume now, shortly after butting 2 of them near the wand, they turn color and disintegrated, I have switched off the wand and today added iron rich nutrients and changed the bulb from Aqua glo to Power glo, so now I'm waiting to see if they recover. I figure with the extra plants their wasn't enough nutrients since I only have 7 fish in their and not enough c02 is my quess.
Any thought on that?

Bubble wands won't hurt your plants unless their delicate leaved or the bubbles are rough enough to tear them up.
If your injecting CO2 then you want as little water movement as possible so the CO2 won't dissipate into the air. If your not injecting CO2 the gentle water movement will help pull CO2 from the air into your water.

not using c02 but have considered trying to see what happens, have made a DIY version, still waiting for it to generate. The bubble wand was fine bubbles and don't not appear to do anything to them, plants were just next to them so my guess is that its either c02 or nutrient problem for those particular ones to start disintegration, the Anubias and java ferns were fine, but they were in the corners, just the ones near the bubbler were affected.

If you're running your bubble wand during the day, it dissipates whatever the already small amounts of CO2 you have in your water (I'm assuming it's a low-light/low-tech tank). I don't know if this is actually the cause, but who knows. In planted tanks, it's generally best not to run the air pump/bubble wand/air stone during the day, but to run it at night. Try turning off your bubble wand during the day, and see if the situation changes.

By the way, your tank looks great

thanks! will try the bubbler at night in the next few days, want to see how the plants/fish react without it for the next couple of days first.
