Lost 2 clown loaches

I just took out all my decor in my tank to start venting all my cichlids. There was 2 clown loaches in there and I had just seen them earlier today. When I took all the decor out, they weren’t there, I have no idea what is happenint

Loaches sometimes will actually swim up inside decor & hide. You might have accidently removed the loaches as well as the decor.

Yea man. I flipped it upside down and shocked it many times and did everything I could to get them out. Nothing came. I then took them out for like a minute or 2 since I couldn’t find them, and I needed to vent the fish. One of the weirdest things that’s every happened to me

I've had loaches fall out of holes in rocks, to the floor, while changing up the scape. Never lost any though.
