HI guys,

My guppy has developed what looks like a swollen stomach and a strange spot/bulge on one side, can someone advise?

Apologies for the poor picture but would appreciate some help!

Does it look like the bulge may be coming out of his bowels? If so, he may have prolapsed. It's hard for me to see exactly where it's coming from. If it's a bulge coming out from beneath scales, it may be a tumor.

HI Endler,

I've edited the picture a bit which is admittedly poor, it does seem like its coming from beneath its scales rather than bowels and its stomach does seem pumped up but this is additional to that.

What do I do, should I euthanise it?

Have you got other fish in your tank? I admittedly don't know much about guppies, but if your little guy starts to get thin, or acting different, Definitely QT! If still acts and looks healthy, keep him/her, just watch for changes.

I've got 11 tetras and 3 other guppies in there.

The guppy is not coming down from the top of the water, I assume its bladder is over inflated and that's stopping it from swimming below.

other fish seem fine, I only have 1 tank

It's not getting thin and still feeds, I don't know what to do!

I've got some interpet antI internal bacteria plus, can this be used with other fish that are healthy in my tank without any adverse effects?

The fish has died and it looks like it had a sore on the bump (Image attached).

I've removed it from the tank, should I dose the remaining healthy fish with "interpet antI internal bacteria" treatment?

So sorry for your loss... I honestly don't know what that product is, maybe another fishlorean can advise??

No no it looks like just a turmor. The signs to look for are other fish bloated, and especially stringy poop.
