I am redoing my tank up. I want to start with invertebrates. I want something like a cherry shrimp, but a little bigger and more options as far as color go, like blue, red, yellow, green, etc.

Any ideas what I should get? Depending on size, I would like to have multiple of different color (one of each color) in my 30 gallon tank.

    ideas?

I personally love tigers, pearls, and crystal shrimp. Remember that as you pick your shrimp you should not mix shrimp from the same genus. Shrimp from the same genus are able to cross breed producing clear or muddy brown babies.
I believe amano and bamboo are some of the larger aquarium shrimp.

All of those are interesting. Although that cross breeding issue is a good point. What about a type of crayfish?

As long as they are not with fish.....
How about dwarf crayfish like CPOs or dwarf cajun crayfish?

I can't recommend any shrimp as I've never had them, just wanted to warn you against getting shrimp before your tank is fully cycled, invertebrates are sensitive to water quality and don't handle cycles well. :)

Dwarf crayfish are cool. Can more than one be held in a tank my size?

You shouldn't do crayfish if you have fish I don't think. ..

Yeah, don't do crayfish with fish. But the dwarf CPO is sometimes known to work with them... that being the exception.
