Hello, so I want to add snails to both tanks.
I was thinking of adding trumpet snails. I know they dig in the substrate looking for food. Which is good for the plants i have and will help with water parameters. I want 3 in each tank I have.
I know the craws could end up eating the snails. But I want to try and prevent gass bubble build up in my tanks. I do have shrimp in my 20 gallon.

I'm also thinking of adding 20+ neocaradena shrimp to my 20 long. I regularly feed shrimp fit and bacter ae the shrimp I have now are very healthy but I want my shrimp to breed.
I'm going to add guppy grass too I let algea grow in my tank as well so I know everything will have enough food I dont think my tank would be over crowded by adding 20ish shrimp and 3 trumpet snails.
I also kinda want to add another type of snail too. If I can find another one that can live in my water parameters my ph is 6.6 idk oh or gh yet but when I can I'm buying the tests and I dont know total desolved solids yet which I will also buy a test for it. Any tips on what tests to get for that. And anyone keep snails I am also looking for a good place to buy what I'm looking for.

Trumpet Snails multiply quite quickly. So if you get 3, you will soon have many many more. You might look into Rabbit Snails as they also dig in the substrate but don't multiply at such a fast rate.

Thank you. What water parameters do they need. Trumpet snails are fine in my water parameters. but I will definitely check them out. I might only get 2 for each tank and monitor there breeding. Plus I do think the fish will help with that in the main tank. And I know the craws in my 10 will keep the population low lol.

I love rabbit snails!!!!!!!!! If your thinking of a snail and have a big enough tank, I suggest rabbit snails. I have a yellow and black one (Turbo & Samuel L Jackson).

Thank you but I think I'm set for now. I got rams horns and bladder snails. And they have been breeding like crazy.
I started out with 7 rams horns now I have atleast a dozen in each tank. And I have bladder snails in my 10g and in a small temporary 16g pond I set up. Trying to use snails to cycle the filter for it before I get my 50-75g glass tank for the pond. It looks cool right now. But I'm going to start getting dirt for the bigger tank set up and start getting plants then the tank and rocks to cap it with.

if you ever change your mind… just know rabbit snails can only breed if you have a mommy and daddy… and since you can’t look to tell their sex, the only way you get babies, is if you got lucky and bought one of each sex. Breeding, or the inability to breed, is what drew me to rabbit snails.
