Bucephalandra are easier to see it on.

It’s not exactly white. It’s more of a silvery hue when looking at it closely. It’s also on a brand new leaf that’s growing from the plant. When I take it out of the tank, there is nothing on the plant. It’s only visible when submerged. Should I still take it out and just throw it away? I don’t want to throw away the stone it’s on as it was pretty costly Ohko stone.
Thank goodness for that! I’m a little less freaked out now lol thank you.Oh of course! Thankfully I’ve been around here a bit (probably a little to long lol) and there’s a few really great knowledgeable members here who have helped me out. So when I don’t know something I sometimes know who call who will either know themselves or know someone who does! I hope you and the other great members are able to figure out this anubis thing, it really is quite odd.
Thank you so much for that photo! I guess the snail sucked the plant clean literally lol. I don’t see it on any of my other plants so I freaked out a bit (actually a ton!) I’ve been looking very closely at all of my other plants and I still can’t see the pores like I do with the petite. So strange. This is one of my anubias nana petite, it displays the dots underwater in brighter lighting but not when it is darker over the leaf nor out of water.
These are leaf pores, how the plant breathes/expels waste.

Me either. Thus why the panic attack. I’m still going to monitor my betta more closely. He’s been changing colors somewhat morphing since he’s a koi. He’s got some white on him so now I really have to look at him closely every day for a week or so just to make sure nothing was transferred over when the plant was placed back into the main tank. Thanks for your help.It looks like it's part of the plant, like normal. Ich is more fuzzy dots that would be random and come off when you rub it. Not to mention it would be all over the fish before falling off like that. Now I'll have to look at my anubias more closely in the light, I haven't noticed that before lol.
Sorry just saw your edit... I’m referring to the tiny white dots on the leaves. Can you take a clearer picture? Maybe a nerite egg.
Edit: do you mean those tiny white dots or that white thing attached to it?
So strange that it’s only on the plant that was in quarantine with the snail. None of my other plants have it. I’ve got 4 other Anubias in the main tank not including the petite and a java fern that’s growing like crazy... none of them have these pores like the petite. Do you think it’s because the snail did a “deep cleaning” on it so to speak? And that I’ll most likely see it on all my other plants eventually when the snail is out of quarantine and in the main tank with my betta?Okay I just saw the closeup pictures. I’d agree with what the others are saying, this is normal. They’re just small pores that are completely natural.
Makes a lot of sense. I usually rub my fingers on the plants once a week during a water change but I guess that doesn’t make it completely clean. I’m going to keep monitoring my betta just to be on the safe side. I really hope that nothing latched on the plant or rocks that were in the qt tank, that my betta is just fine, and I’m worried and panicking for nothing. My theory is that your Anubias might be covered in a coat of green algae that blends in with the leaf color. Since the snail removed it, you can now truly see the plant.
Good morning all! So Salem is still alive! Woohoo!!! He’s acting a bit more crazy than usual but ate his pellets this morning. So far so good... I’ll keep updating as weeks go on if something happens (I hope it doesn’t). The petite nana still show those pores so I’m keeping a close eye on everything! IF for some reason a parasite or infection latched on to the plant/rocks, what are some early signs to look out for? I do have some tiny white particles floating in the water but it could be debris or sand not sure... but if anything, I’d like to know what to look for in case there is something lurking in the rocks and plant that were previously in qt with the snail. Thanks for everyone’s help.
Ps: don’t mind the debris on the sand... I just cleaned it on Sunday but it has accumulated again (sigh)

If something were to occur... how long would it take to show... what’s a safe amount of time to be in the clear and not have to worry anymore?Mainly seeing how your fish is acting. Noticing a small change as it happens rather than waiting.
Two weeks is the standard time for watching for easy diseases like ich or parasites (you'll notice the fish scratching/rubbing).If something were to occur... how long would it take to show... what’s a safe amount of time to be in the clear and not have to worry anymore?
He’s acting more frantic than usual. I think it’s because he sees that I’m paying more attention to his next door neighbor (the qt tank) but I’m cautious of every move he makes right now.
Thanks! I moved him in last night. So far so good!I'd go ahead and move him over
