Looking For Natural Black Gravel.

I would like to add a little black gravel in addition to the Fluorite substrate in my 29 gal tank. The only problem is that the local stores stock artificially-colored gravel. I have a small bag of the black gravel and put a small amount in the tank, but it looks very "fake" - especially against the dark brown-colored Fluorite (which doesn't look as dark as I had expected). It looks like cheap plastic.

I did find some natural black gravel, but it was very fine - almost like sand. Does anyone know of a brand of natural black gravel that I could purchase online?

By the way, a lot of the natural gravel I have looked at has a clear polymer coating. I not interested in plastic-coated gravel.

The black lava looks pretty good. It doesn't have that shiny plastic look. I only need enough to accent the color of the Fluorite, so 2 pounds should suffice. Thanks for the link!

I should have taken I closer look at Amazon. I wasn't aware that Fluorite came in black. That may blend in better with the dark brown Fluorite in the tank.

I've got the black, it turns out more gray.

HI Daryl, I put the black Fluorite in my tank and it looks decent. It's not jet black, but since I put the dark brown fluorite in one part of the tank, the black stands out more.

Collect your own gravel and boil it maybe

I guess it's black enough, I've got the back of the tank painted black and a black stand. It really makes the plants and the fish colors stand out.
