Looking For Easy To Grow Plants And Moss

I just got a ton of ghost shrimp and eventually plan to add some blue shrimp when I have my aquarium planted better. I am looking for something like java moss and some other plants that shrimp would like. I currently have four marimo moss balls and a java fern, all from petsmart. Hoping to find some plants that aren't covered in snails or snail eggs since I absolutely HATE pest snails. I will have enough with my 4 mystery snails that are coming lol.

If you need to thin out your plants PLEASE keep me in mind. I am sick of giving a chain store like Petsmart 10.00 or more per plant when they can't even properly take care of their fish. I would rather give my money to someone here who takes care of their plants.

I definitely would take free plants and pay shipping but will also pay for plants. I understand that people need to make a buck here and there. Thanks guys!

What is your definition of easy? Planted tanks don't appear out of the blue and will need light and ferts to some degree.
I can sell you Ludwigia Repens. 50 cents per stem, I have about 20 of them. You would have to come down to Mexico lol.

Water wisteria is easy to grow altough you will need some sort of fertilization and low-mid light.
If you just want cover I would suggest you to look for hornwort. I can sell you enough hornwort to cover an area of 50x50 cm but again - Mexico lol. Hornwort is one of my favorite plants, it is very easy to keep tho.
Valisneria is a plant I am starting to love, specially when used for background purposes. I have about 9 shoots right now and the plant hasnt even been a month in my tanks. Again - Mexico LOL.

I'm sure you will be able to find plants from hobbysts on the forums.

I just don't want to be having to add co2 or anything too difficult. I don't mind buying and dosing flourish but I don't want anything that is going to die in my tank because I'm not going to set up a gas tank beside it lol. I leave my light on around 10 hours or so per day because I like to see my fish so light shouldn't be an issue.

I went and got some dwarf hair grass and an Anubias nana at petsmart because they were on sale and I know they are pretty easy to care for. I have flourish. I just need to figure out what else I should be dosing for healthy plants. Will have to do some more research. Hopefully I can find some java moss and maybe something to float at the top like I had in my tank last time. Also will look into wisteria. Here's my tank so far:

I have a ton of frogbit that spread like crazy that I throw in the trash. Don't know if your lights are sufficient though and not sure if they are considered easy plants. I have no experience with shipping plants.

I believe frogbit is what I grew last time for the fry so the could eat at the top without being picked off by the other fish I had. It grew well in the tank. I kind of liked it lol. Let me know if you want to get rid of some!

I'll have to look into how to ship plants. I guess it shouldn't be too complicated.

Awesome, thank you

Ok, shipping is simple enough. Ziplock bag, and moist towel or filter floss with priority shipping being both cheap and fast. Besides frogbit, I also have some java moss as well. I can probably ship it by sometime tomorrow, but definitely before the weekend arrives, since I'm going on vacation for 2 weeks. No charge. It's not really worth it to me and don't mind helping out on occasion if I can. PM me adress if still interested.

Kelly, I wish I had seen this before I shipped your snails. I've got all kinds of easy low light plants available. I could have included some with the snails and saved you on shipping. Anyway, I have anubias, water sprite, frogbit, crypt. wendtii, vallisneria, Java moss, Java fern, lace Java fern, round pellia, and guppy grass. I can ship you a box with 4 types for $20 total. PM if interersted.

Sure. I'm getting rid of them before the weekend either way. Sorry for posting here, but I don't know how to pm myself, so someone has to pm me first.

I know you grabbed some hair grass, but it doesn't thrive without Co2 and high lighting. When I get some longfins your wanting I can send some of the plants I have. Might have some Taiwan moss ready by then.

It doesn't seem to be having any issues. It has grown several shoots that are ready to be removed and planted since I brought it home. I will just keep planting them and start trimming to keep them shorter and I think it's going to work out. I have higher nitrates. Comes out of the tap at 5ppm. It might be helping them.
