Looking for an alternative to NLS Goldfish formula

Hey guys, I need some help! I have been feeding my three fantail goldfish New Life Spectrum goldfish formula sinking pellets for a few months and have had no issues. These goldfish used to be my mom's fish, and she would feed them tetra goldfish flakes. Curly, the smallest fantail, would have serious swim bladder issues from eating these flakes. When I took the goldfish in, I started feeding them the NLS pellets and also peas once a week and her issues went away completely. I made (make) sure to soak the pellets in a cup of tank water until they all sank so she wouldn't gulp up any air. Now, in the last two (maybe three) weeks, Curly has been having swim bladder issues again. I logged it every time it would happen, and figured out that the pellets were the cause. They would cause issues about an hour after she ate them. The goldfish get mysis shrimp, zucchini, and peas on certain days throughout the week as well and these things never cause any issues. Bottom line, NLS pellets give my fish gas and I would like it if one of you lovely people would recommend an alternative pellet for me to try out. I would like for it to be just as nutritious as the NLS pellets are, and they also need to be fairly small since these fish are unfortunately stunted because my mom kept them in a ten gallon tank for a long time.

I haven't tried the goldfish formula but I like the ones I have tried so what about Nutrafin Bug Bites?

And isn't there a gel-based food for goldies?

I looked at their goldfish formula and people seem to enjoy it, but there's a lot of flour and stuff in it. I'm gonna have to look up gel food too, it sounds really interesting.

Okay, I found a very interesting gel food mix called Repashy Soilent Green. All of the reviews are great, and the ingredients are good too (hopefully there's no "unlisted ingredients") . It's fairly expensive but it seems like it'll do the trick. Has anybody used this before?

I've heard about it through Solid Gold's channel but haven't used it myself

I'm a fan of omega one foods, they're nutritious and not much "filler" ingredients, and they're not big bucks. I can't afford NLS so I feed omega one pellets and flakes to all my fish and I noticed improvement not only in color, but in the digestive issues my neons were having from eating air.

I do enjoy omega one pellets, I keep them on hand in case I have a picky fish that doesn't take to NLS immediately. It's always one or the other, I've noticed

all of the reviews for the soilent green say that it fixes swim bladder issues that can't seem to be fixed by anything else, so I think I'm going to go with that. Again, if anybody has used this let me know!

Update: I've been feeding my goldfish the repashy soilent green gel food for a little over two weeks now. Let me just say, thank you aquaphobia for mentioning gel foods! Curly, the goldfish with the swim bladder issue, hasn't had ANY problems since I started feeding her this stuff. Plus, all of the goldfish in the tank can't get enough of it! They go crazy after they eat it. Has anyone noticed their goldfish doing that weird rubbing dance before? My fish used to only do it after they ate mysis shrimp, but now they do it after soilent green too! They spin around each other and nip at each others' bootyholes (not trying to be crude, they actually do this!) Is it a mating dance? Aggression? Excitement? I don't know but it sure is cute.

LOL! That will be burned into my mind all day I'm glad they like it and that it's helped Curly!

Here's an action shot of Larry and Moe doing the rubbing dance. One of them will start chasing the other ones bootyhole and then they'll collide like this, or they'll spin around each other like a cyclone. It only happens after I feed mysis shrimp or soilent green. Enjoy the picture!
