Looking For Advise On Rearranging My Tank.

PhilodendronM

HI guys!

I'm looking for some advise on how to re-arange some of the elements in my tank.

Basically I recently had a bit of a scare in my 10 gallon tank and decided to take a large piece of wood out in order to clean the gravel.

After it was removed I realized that I liked the openess of the tank a bit more and now I'm looking for some suggestions. Here is a picture of my tank with its innitial arrangement.

And here is an of what it looks now, it has taken a bit of a beating and I have placed some glass in there to break some of the current from the filter.

I wanted to get you guy's thoughts. I aam considering moving that Alternanthera reineckiI to the back of my tank, where the wood used to sit - I am not quite sure how tall it will grow, but I fear it may block too much of the tank- and may give me some height on that side of the backdrop.

But then I am not sure where that crypt could go- and I am not so sure how much light the Alternanthera reineckiI needs, but I wouldn't want it blocking the light.

So one of the main issues I have is that I want everything to have its place. Ideally I wouldn't want my java moss just floating around the tank, so in the past I have been tucking it below the wood.

I do like my original composition, I would just like it being easier to clean the gravel.

I'm considering something like this with the wood placement

Propping up the wood upright and creating a little cave, where maybe I could place the java moss more permanently, but idk, looks a bit cheesy and the composition may be to balanced having the same arrangement of wood.

Another thing I'm considering is placing the crypt(?) on the back were the grass currently is, and move the grass to the area where the anacharis is hanging out.

So here I am, wondering if any of you have any good suggestions! keeping in mind the kinds of plants I have and all.

Ps. how do rooted plants do if they are moved inside the tank?

Thanks!

I like the last pic the most it makes the tank look more spacious

I really liked the first design, but they all look equally good!
