Looking for a backround plant

I am looking for suggestions on a good background plant for my 55g tank. Something that snails won’t eat, easy care, I use root tabs and liquid fertilizer, no co2, low-medium light. Looking for something that doesn’t make a mess of my tank.

Yes they are super easy no co2 low light. I think they are just sensitive to Excel is all.. But when they start spreading its like wildfire. I only dose liquid ferts with them. If you have sand you may need root tabs.
