HI Fishlore folks, I just wanted to share some pics of my new baby female betta, Cleo (we watched Pinocchio recently with the kids) . We brought her home on Monday night. She's 2 months old.

She didn't enjoy the short ride home, and was pale and stress-striped when I was floating her bag in the tank.

Within a half hour, she had coloured up nicely! She's really pretty, has a deep red head (I've never seen this!) and from what I'm told, her colouring is sometimes called 'blue raspberry', how sweet! Hey Goldiemom, think of the beautiful little blue raspberries our pair could make!! lol

I got her from my local Big Al's, she was in a big tank with about 50 other baby female bettas (not in a cup - thankfully!). Apparently, the local breeder is retiring, and he brought all of his stock to the store to be sold. She had been in the tank for about 2 weeks (I've been stalking her a bit) and she was the largest baby left, so hopefully the healthiest too!! It's great that she's been locally bred, and is used to our harder tap water already. She's settling nicely into her new home - eating well and exploring.

She's so cute! And wow she must be loving that nice spacious tank all to herself!

The tank is only 5 gallons, but it looks huge because she's so tiny lol

Oh, she’s beautiful! Too bad you don’t live next door. Lol. I’m at my doctor’s office and my Lfs is right across the street. I’ve already told myself not to stop! Lol. I can see how people end up with 10 of them. I can always move to one of my empty 1oG or better yet, my empty 20G long and divide it. Not now!!! My Goldie’s are pouting!

Very nice female. Should be good breeding stock if you want to get into that.
