Loach Repeatedly Losing Whiskers

    For some reason my loach keeps loosing his whiskers to the point were they are basically stub points I really have no clue why he acts normal and happy it's just that sometimes his whiskers grow back long but then go away again within 2 weeks or so my corys seem fine and he is a baby still only had him for a year and he lives in a 20 gallon for now and has peas 2 times a day for his food he is pictures of him when he lost almost all his whiskers fbc4b6edcf9b1431ab201759ac221702.jpg

    The substrate is wearing them off. They should only be kept on sand.

    There is something I confused about though when I had him in bare bottom tank it happened to

    They look a lot better in the pic in your avatar which is bare bottom.
