I dont know where to post this so ill post it here. I got a live soldier fly larva (is that right?) In my bug bites! Is this a common occurrence? I can only guess that a baby one or egg got into the bug bites and it hatched and has been living off the bug bites. My main concern is this fish eating it's poop, and if there more in here. 20180417_190633.jpeg20180417_190500.jpeg

Eek! I have a bag of the ones for plecos and now am terrified of opening the bag. I would write to them and let them know at least because that’s not supposed to happen.

I got it resolved with fluval, they think it's an Indian moth larva that somehow got into the thing. All fine now

Don't be terrified, this seems to be a one time occurrence, just unlucky
