Live Plants & Vacation

Hello! I am going away for 6 days. I have someone coming in every other day to check on my cat & fish. I will be leaving my danios with a feeding block of food, and my otos will be fed algae wafers every other day. But I had a questions about my plants. Should I leave the light off for the 6 days? Leave it on? The fish will get enough natural light from my windows. Will it hurt the plants to have the light off for 6 days? Please advise!

Do you have an automatic timer? If you do, set it up so the tank would have normal light hours as if you were there and everything should be fine.

The plants will be fine. We do the same think just about every summer

I don't have an automatic timer, so that's out for now. So I think I will just leave it off & let the natural light take care of the fish's needs. Thanks!!
