Live plants again

I have yet again taken the plunge and bought some plants for Malcolm's tank as he has been so poorly and found a new LFS that has some amazing rare fish so many plecs and catfish they had the two kinds I want for my big tank when I get it and a huge golden nugget plec he was so gorgeous anyway going off topic. They had some really nice anubias that I couldn't resist I got a nano one and the tiniest anubias I have ever seen. I was wondering if I could do anything in order to keep these ones alive I have added some fertiliser and not buried the roots I have just anchored them with some pebbles. I got some java fern too to Malcolm somewhere to hide

You could try increasing CO2 levels??? And or light levels/provide the right kind of light and as you have said use fertiliser arky

Looks like you've got low lighting, co2 isn't necessary.

Plants will be slow growing but doesn't hurt to add fertz once a week in a lowlight setup. Plants will benefit from it.

Just let them settle in.

Hello thank you for your replys I have them in a fluval chI which is low light which is why I went for the anubias and I couldn't resist the little one at the front it's so cute and mal loves them I keep seeing a red head poking out from in the java fern I'm going to take my time and not fuss the plants I'll fertilise every now and hopefully fingers crossed they'll be ok.

Thanks for the links Ken they'll be very helpful

Anubias is one of the most low maintenance plants out there, it should be fine

I hope so I have managed to kill two already although technically the second one wasn't my fault Malcolm's tank went south very quickly and the plants all suffered but I managed to save mal so it was a victory they seem to still be ok I'm just going to sit back and hope for the best
