Little tiny tiny white worms in tank? New to this what to do

Rebeccaxo

Hey I have found tiny and I mean tiny little white worms in my fish tank they are so tiny and one of my swordtails have eaten one I’ve only managed to see two and can’t get a good picture as they are so small any advice welcome x

Maybe its a detritus worm. If so, they are harmless. I had a betta that would eat them, too. Just another good source of protein for them. You can do a search on the site for detritus worms to see some pics, or do a quick google search.

If you are worried, post a pic for a definitive answer. :)

Wow, that looks a bit long for a detritus worm.

Maybe another opinion - StarGirl ? What do you think?

MacZ

Still detritus worms. Nothing to be afraid of.

StarGirl

You fish can eat them it's OK won't hurt them.
