Little clay pot giving off bubbles?

I recently purchased and smashed a little clay pot from lowes. I wanted to test it in some water and it started giving off these little champagne sized bubbles. I added some vinegar to the water to give it a test, but that didn't increase or decrease the bubbles. I'm pretty sure they're not made of champagne, so does anyone know what is going on?

Good morning! Almost out the door, but thought id pop in and see what's going on

I had some caves made of clay or some other type of kiln material that every time I put them into the Aquarium they would give off bubbles for a short while. Little tiny streams of bubbles.

My guess it was just porous enough for air to trap inside and then release in the water. On my caves It only lasted a few minutes.

Does it subside or do the bubbles never stop?

Agreed. It's probably just getting waterlogged. The drier the pot was before, the longer the bubbles should last.

Yeah I'm letting them sit in water and it seems to be slowing down. But they're still pretty steady. My mom always told me that the smaller the bubbles in champagne, the better the quality, and that is what it looks like, little ribbons of bubbles. Not like pearling on plants, though there is some of that.

It will stop bubbling in a couple minutes. It happened to me. I put this rock in water, and these bubbles started to come out.
