Since I'm a new mother of six platy fry as of yesterday. I've never done live bearers before and I was finally ready to do it after much research. But I didn't even think about the effects of liquid fertilizers and platy fry. I am holding off to play it safe. Is it okay to use liquid fertilizers with platy fry as they may be sensitive since they are newborns?

When I had guppy fry in my planted tank, I always used half the recommended dose- they may not be harmed by the usual dose, but why risk it?

    Shouldn't be a problem.

Shouldn't be a problem but I do skip dosing the day they are born. It isn't gong to hurt the plants to miss a day and IMO fry are as delicate as they will ever be the first few days.

Thanks for all the responses! I'll take a break for a few days and see how these little guys do.
