In the past few weeks I have started using liquid ferts and root tabs. I just had a quick question.
I have been dosing apI leaf zone according to directions 15ml once a week for my 29 gallon.I have been dosing every sunday after I do my water change.I just wanted to know if seachem prime effects the leaf zone? Prime sez it removes heavy metals and the leaf zone has iron it. Thanks for any info

I can't say for sure... but I have never read anything saying it would remove fertilizers so I'm fairly certain that it is fine. I have been using prime and adding some ferts not to long after water change. I obviously can't say 100% but pretty sure its fine.

iv heard active carbon can remove fertilizers if you use it.

It's fine to use Prime with any ferts. Also, carbon does not remove ferts. There is a lot of mis-information floating around about that.

Ok cool I just wanted to check cause I couldn't find any info . I didn't want to just waste the leaf zone. I'm newer with plants so any help is appreciated.

I heard about the carbon but I wasn't sure. I have read conflicting threads on it. I still have it in there now but I think ill try removing it for a few weeks and see what happens.

I don't use active carbon unless my tank smells or I want to make sure I remove all meds.

If using Prime with ferts it's good to wait a day. Prime can take out some of the metals in ferts like iron etc. I read about it on Tom Barr's website.
