Lion fish tank

Hey I want to get a lion fish and setup a saltwater tank how should I do this how do I even make salt water ? How big of a tank do I need what precautions should I take when caring for the lion fish what does a lion fish way I don't really want to feed live food I feel like that's cruel please tell me whatever you know I have a couple freshwater tanks is there any similarities

 

Fish only is a good start. Get a dwarf species. FuzZies would work well. I'd use a bare bottom tank or 1 inch sand with 1 rock and hob filter. Salinity of 1.022 ocean salt. Make sure you have good current and nothing special on the rock. Read up upon aiptasia

 

Can I use a filter that I would use in a freshwater tank and can I put fake decorations in the tank with 1in of sand and what do I feed it and how do I make salt water

What size tank

 

You can use any kind of filter. Just make sure you clean the filter regularly, and definitely make sure you are over filtering. If you don't clean the filter, they become nitrate factories. Fuzzies are awesome, it's just a bit tricky getting them on frozen foods. What kind of filter were you thinking?
And as Affinitymlg asked, what size aquarium?

 

Hey I want to get a cooler looking one like the violitan don't know how to spell it what size tank can I get for that if it's the only fish in the tank

What tank mates can I put with him ?

 

Nothing that could fit in his mouth

Like a large trigger. If you want tank mates I recommend getting a 150 gallon

Ya I want to I want to do fuzzys can they go with other fuzzys right ?? Or no can they go with other lions ?Can I put fuzzy dwarf lion fish with attenana lion fish or radiata lion fish sorry for the spelling can they be tank mates to each other or no ???

 

Yea, you can have more than one fuzzie. They are peaceful. But they are predatory. You can do like a fuzzie and a zebra dwarf lionfish too.
